STEEL MULTILAYER

DC offers head gaskets manufactured with multilayer steel for modern engines and original equipment.  In the structure of multilayer joined together, inside its manufacture design, there is a highlight that forms veins in the steel sheets that make contact with surfaces.  This veins do an inverse spring back effect which achieves an efficient seal by means of a precise torque on perfectly parallel surfaces.  Surface contact steel sheets have, in all their faces, an elastomeric fine coat with sealant purposes.

This innovative design is not only used in head gaskets (CA), but in intake and exhaust manifold gaskets (MS) as well.

EXPANDED GRAPHITE

Expanded graphite or “flexible graphite” is a material in which pure graphite powder is expanded at 1000°C to obtain amorphous flakes and by means of a calender process without agglutinants, they are laminated resulting flexible sheets ideal to absorb torque.  This property of flexibility with the ones of graphite makes this material ideal for gasket manufacture.  Graphite has a high temperature great resistance.  Its friction low resistance coefficient turns it into a perfect material to resist engine dilatation and contraction onslaughts adapting perfectly well to surfaces it must seal.  As well, graphite has excellent properties above corrosion to resist antifreeze and gasoline.  Indeed, it has a thermic conduction high coefficient which helps to reduce hot spots produced in the engine.

Expanded graphite is used in head gaskets (CA), intake and exhaust manifold gaskets (MS), and pipe exhaust gasket (LA) (LB)

FIBERS BASED MATERIAL

DC uses exclusively imported laminated materials compounded by Kevlar® (aramid). glass fiber, graphite, ceramic fibers, etc., agglutinated  with nitrile latex that covers original equipment specifications.  This laminated fibers has excellent sealing properties because of their good compressibility and recovery.  Its impermeability characteristics make them resistant to fluids and dimensionally stable. Inclusively, thank to its high heat resistance and its mentioned qualities, this fibers are an ideal material to manufacture gaskets.  All fibers are tested in DC laboratory to a strict quality (calcination test up to 1500°F).

This fibers are not only used in head gaskets (CA) and in intake and exhaust manifold gaskets (MS),  but in pump water, timing cover gasket (TC) and miscellaneous gaskets (ES)

SYNTHETIC RUBBER, POLYACRYLATE, SILICONE, NITRILE AND VITON®

High temperature resistance materials with excellent mechanical properties as polymers because of their compression and recovery qualities which guarantees an optimal seal.

This materials are used in valve cover gaskets (VS), intake manifold gaskets (MS), timing cover gasket (TC) and valve seals (SV).

CORK – RUBBER

By means of DC technology, the balanced combination of 100% virgin fine grain cork and nitrile rubber resistant to oil and high temperatures reaches a perfect  homogeneity in their mix and vulcanization that permit no spaces for fluid leak and no pores that cause rips to the product.  This provides the exact compressibility for a perfect seal.  DC cork – rubber pieces are one piece manufactured, without joints.

Cork – rubber is used in oil pan gasket (OS), valve cover gaskets (VS) and timing cover gasket (TC).

ELASTOAMERIC RESIN

At high temperatures, elastoameric resin gasket veins adapt to surfaces covering minimum imperfections and achieving a perfect seal.

This elastoameric resin is used in miscellaneous gaskets (ES), head gaskets (CA) and intake & exhaust manifold gasket (MS).
